Attend meetings of the above if necessary and speak to items when requested by chair.
3.
Receive  Resource Consent Applications made to the North Shore City Council Devonport Community
Board Planning (Resource Management) Committee  from the Development Planner, Devonport Area
Office.
4.
Consider the Application. This  involves:
i)
reading and interpreting plans,
ii)
assessing  heritage values versus commercial concerns
 
iii)
consultation with one or more of the following:
(i)
New Zealand Historic Places Trust Auckland and Wellington
(ii)
Conservation architects
(iii)
Project architect
(iv)
Project consultant resource management planner
(v)
Devonport Area Office, Development Planner
(vi)
Senior Planner, North Shore City
(vii)
Community Board.
iv)
site visit.
v)
sub-committee meeting.
5.  Write recommendations/submissions on the Application to the Community Board.
6.  The Sub-committee is sometimes approached by planners and architects  for written comment/support on
   their projects/alterations before notification.
7.  Report to the full Committee.
8.  Record all submissions and correspondence.
9.  Familiarity with the Devonport Historic Register, Devonport District Plan, North Shore City Draft Annual
as regards
heritage buildings
.
10.Generally be aware of activities in the ward that may affect heritage :- gossip, local papers, walking
around the village.
11.The Sub-committee meets twice a month, more often if necessary, and phone consultation.
